Young Professionals Conference Learning Scholarship Fund

The GOVERN for IMPACT Young Professionals Conference Learning Scholarship Fund is designed to support young professionals (between the ages of 20 to 35) interested in effective boardroom governance either in the corporate or non-profit sector. It will be administered by GOVERN for IMPACT and is designed to encourage participation in the GOVERN for IMPACT annual conference by alleviating some of the costs associated with attending the annual conference. Attending our annual conference is an  opportunity to learn about best governance practices from established leaders in the industry and share insights and experiences with other current and aspiring governance professionals.

Completion of the following application is required for all those interested in being considered as a recipient of the GOVERN for IMPACT Young Professionals Conference Learning Scholarship Fund. All applicants must be between the ages of 20-35, on or before December 31 in the year before the conference.

GOVERN for IMPACT thanks all applicants for their interest; however, only those who meet criteria demonstrating the greatest need will be granted a scholarship. Applicants will be considered based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to): financial need, distance required to travel in order to attend the conference, level of governance related interest and volunteer and professional involvement in governance.  The application form is due by midnight on April 15th in the year of the conference.

Successful applicants will be notified of their award on or before May 1st. They will be reimbursed for the conference registration fee for young professionals and other related conference expenses up to $500 USD. Scholarship recipients will be required to write a blog post for the GOVERN for IMPACT newsletter and social media following the conference, by August 30th  to cover key learnings from the conference, motivation for attending and the experience of the conference learning environment.
